I'm Jennie Mann, founder of Bloom and someone who has spent more than 20 years working across volunteering, participation and community action.
Over the years I've supported everything from grassroots initiatives to national volunteering programmes involving more than 80,000 volunteers.

Along the way, I became increasingly interested not just in how organisations manage volunteers, but in how volunteering itself needs to evolve.
Bloom is my space for ideas, reflection and conversation about the future of volunteering. A place to share thoughts, challenge assumptions and explore how volunteering can become more human, accessible, flexible and community-led.
I'm passionate about questioning outdated systems, championing better volunteer experiences and helping shape the future of volunteering for a changing world.
